I don't smell any money here yet, Kevin. I can't "feel" insiders doing any buying, if you know what I mean. Any idea how employees receive shares? Incentives? That hired gun they brought in from DEC, the new Exec VP for sales, she might be the key. Either that or a very expensive act of desperation.
If I lived near the City, I'd stop by their new (digi/multimedia) office and snoop around.
I continue to read and ask questions, here and on the street, and I don't get the feeling that FC has left the launch pad yet. Vancouver is many steps behind Seattle, say, but people I spoke with on their way to NAB98 last month only knew of one outfit in town who was running FC. Not only that, none of them expressed a need for it. They were happy with tape and RAID.
Are there considerably better margins with FC? Apparently, the way storage vendors keep hyping it. I'm concerned about the Asia-effect, too. It finally hit. Asia has bottomed, but the effects of the previous year are washing up on shore at home now. Less business, less data to store, etc.
Time flies though, and we will see. BXH's Q is next month and the release will be July, I assume. I just don't like the lame press release about the CEO taking sick leave, in conjunction with no other news of any kind. This shouldn't be a quiet period if they're signing up new customers, etc. Not after what happened this past Q. How about an indication of some kind. No? I'm concerned.
But as always, don't listen to word I say because I'm losing my shorts in the Market, constantly playing long. Nice chatting with you.
