Christine, I believe it was Pakistan.
"The Muslim fundamentalists who are in power in many countries do not in any way represent the tenets of the original Moslem belief system, just as many people believe Christianity today has almost nothing to do with the teachings of Christ."
I would tend to agree with you on this. I also tend to believe that there is possibly not one Muslim group, no matter how small or large, that resembles the original Muslim faith. Christine, I remember one of your posts from awhile ago where you were stating that most people in the USA claimed to be Christian. Do you remember that post? Here is a wild statement for you, just because someone claims to be a Christian doesn't make it so! To be a TRUE Christian, one must have a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus the Christ. I was raised a Roman Catholic, but I never knew God on a personal level until I surrendered my heart to Him when I was 26. Christine, do not let the hypocrisy of men and women who claim to know God, but are actually false believers, hinder you from knowing the creator of the universe.
Prayerfully yours,
Tom |
