Kevin, I basically agree. I think that the last PR, as well as the last CC's (whether or not they pleased anyone) started us off in the right direction. It seems to me, at least, that there will be more of a focus on accountability and information. Personally, I don't think that the O/S bomb would have been as harmful if we were told all along what was going on and why. Some posts in the last couple of days have alluded to Arif's gaff on the accounting firm in the last CC. I think that it was both wise as well as prompt for the company to have a pr with the accounting firm's name and telephone number. In addition, it is a very positive sign for me that a principal of the firm will be on the next CC. Why?
It's apparent to me, at least, that although Arif is undoubtedly savvy in business, he is a newbie to the world of publicly trading companies, and all that it implies. He may have been running the day to day operations of the company, but I'm not so sure that he is completely responsible for the interface between the company and it's shareholders( think about this one and I think you will agree ). Having the principal from the accounting firm at the CC allows someone with enough knowledge and finesse regarding some key issues to respond to our concerns in an articulate manner. That's a smart move IMO.
There are a few necessary steps that this company needs to make in order for it to revive demand and confidence.
