If the case and PII fan I've suggest are used (or similar alternatives) heat should be no issue. However if you have the dollars to spend AND understand you won't be getting better than 300 performance THEN a 333 is fine.

The 333 advantages are the .25 micron die which means lower power consumption and therefore less heat (a much better candidate for a laptop). Both of these are pluses.

They've cut out some circuitry in the 333 which then causes it to run real apps about the same speed as the 300. Intel has put us through this before quite recently. Seems they get a good design then remove some of the key good stuff in later models. I have not followed the 350/450 and won't attempt to guess. Sorry.
