Hello Paul,

I'm playing catch-up on the thread ... there have been a lot of messages since Thursday! ;-)

I am trying to follow, and learn from, your reasoning to better understand what has to change at Novell. You obviously have some strong feelings that it's still "not enough."

I don't want to argue with you on this, but rather better understand the problem. You stated "I do not understand Schmidt's PRODUCT OR MARKETING strategy. Whereas with Gates its perfectly clear to me."

Could you please give me a description of Gates strategy, in the same format that you would like to see Novell's? I'm not looking for Novell's strategy, but instead for your perfectly clear description of Gates strategy.

I would like to use this as a foundation for some personal work to better understand how Novell needs to express it's strategy.

I *want* Novell's strategy to be as "perfectly clear" ... if you can express Gate's strategy to me it will help me (and maybe others here) to better understand how Novell's strategy needs to be expressed!

Thanx!
