George, could you explain what is wrong with the statement "Man is the only animal that kills for pleasure?" I am certainly not trying to be objectionable. It may be true that animals are happy when they hunt, but they are hunting for FOOD to eat. I would suspect that if the act is pleasurable to them, they are acting from instinct, and then also remembering how happy they were in the past when their tummies were full, and they could take scraps back to the den for their infants.

To me, there is an enormous difference between hunting to feed yourself, and for the "sport" of it. Animals are not hunting for sport. People often are.
