greyhairs/ (offtopic) - off the top, I'm looking for something. From your posts it would seem you've got opinions re: oilpatch doings and all so that's why I'm asking........ also, I'm not sure whatever you and Cubrilo have going but personally I have appreciated perspective that has come from that end too and I respect the differing views. As they say, that's what makes a market. Anyways, back to the off topic. Grayhairs guy, do you know much about where SCADA (supervisory control and data acqusition) is being used in the oilpatch? I'm a bumbler but have owned Tusk shares so have been watching the stuff happening at the thread for a while. From your posts it's obvious you know something about some of the doings. Recently (May 14) I saw a news release mentioning a little ase company (Wi-LAN WIN-ase) that seemed to have an arrangement in place with Wascana re: a part of their SCADA program. wi-lan.com Grayhairs, I don't have a position in WIN although I do have some shares in another co. (unitec uic-vse) which has completed a successful SCADA solution for Renaissance in the Mitsue field near Lesser Slave Lake. Question: Do you know if (as mentioned in news release re: Wascana) "automating the remote multi-site data management" of oil fields is something that is beginning to be considered as cos. try and cut operating costs or am I bumbling around on a tangent? Any perspective appreciated.
