This is about as down as I have seen this thread since I have been on it (October 1997).

Unfortunately it is mostly from one person, so it isn't a very reliable contrary indicator. Nevertheless I am starting to nibble a little. The last couple of days looked like an attempt to form a base. If it looks like it will hold I'll be looking to rent a U-haul.

SanDisk is developing a seasonal pattern due to the high proportion of consumer sales. We are getting to the point where the institutions should start buying shares in anticipation of the sales pop from distributors stocking up for Christmas.

There has been a lot of talk about low margins in the flash memory sector. The key question is whether the low margins are a result of SanDisk keeping prices low because it can make its profit from royalties. If it turns out that is the case, then it shows that SanDisk is achieving the kind of dominance to make it a "gorilla" stock.
