How to handle ISP problems? We connect to our ISP through a dedicated line, so I hope this will not be an issue. Prior to that, we did have periodic problems with time delays in sending and receiving data. Also, we have configured our system with high priority alarms to notify the trader if an ISP or broker disconnect problem were to occur so that trades could be closed out manually using the telephone. In addition, we have programmed the system to initiate a reconnect every 20 seconds, if communications were ever lost.
