Paul -

Every few years Intel produces a new generation of chips and 2 or 3 years later AMD etc. come out with a clone. Then, the investment community gets all excited that Intel is losing its grasp on the market, Intel's shares falter, and the competitors' rise. Then everyone finds out that their worry (and investment $) was mis-placed when Intel's next generation chip takes over.and the competitors are left with a product that won't sell.

Is this cycle any different than the last ones, or do the Cyrix and AMD chips fit the old pattern?
