Ah Haaa, so that is what a swap file is! Great explanation. Sounds like you (and others) have pretty well diagnosed my problem.

I did down-load Netscape 4.05 this afternoon, but can't seem to get it to work. I was expecting it to replace my old version but instead I now have both. The old one works but the new one does not dial out. I can't find a place to put in phone numbers to dial, settings, etc. At this point am very frustrated and ready to give up. I want a computer that works like a TV-turn it on, flip channels, turn it off. I hate having to spend a whole day fiddling with this kind of stuff.

Sorry for the rant. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
