YTD Performance of OSX Stocks, cont.

Thanks for taking the time to explain, Steve. But I still don't quite understand your methodology:

I used 23-JAN-98 as my 'beginning of the year' starting point, and I simply glanced at the charts and picked a price that seemed "typical."

?? Why January 23rd? And what's a "typical" price (as distinguished from a "real" price)?

But, hey, it's your system, and if it works for you, why should anybody object? (After all, you posted that first post to yourself!)

I have a much more urgent question, which I asked once before, and which you didn't answer. And that is: what is the meaning of: (^_^)?
(It looks like a contented cat minus the whiskers, but that can't be it.)

Best,

jbe
