Re -- Bay's Accelar and CSCO delivering a mature, robust product...

Thats a joke right? Cisco delivering a mature, robust product. Wonder how many millions of dollars in losses it will cause because of course it was not made "idiot proof" as some have suggested.

The Accelar is a 2nd generation product, after having gone through a year of testing in real networks under various configurations.

Cisco's junk 8510, has "SIGNIFICANT BUGS" according to the article posted earlier. Will have very LIMITED testing (1 month beta),
will be incomplete (NO DECNET and other features even though Cisco claims it is complete), and will be much much more expensive to boot.

Which do you think major customers will buy. A product which they are familiar with Bay's ACCELAR or

An UNTESTED, INCOMPLETE, EXPENSIVE piece of like the 85xx, which isn't really a Layer 3 switch.. <VBG>
