Too many times I have lost out using limit orders. I could
have owned a stock if I had used a market order, but in trying
to save a nickel, I missed the boat. The only place I use limit
orders are before the opening bell for protection against a wild
buy like ENMD when it closed at 12 and opened at 80. When
TSCN made a move to 9 7/8 on the close last month, I offered
1000 at 11.5 limit for the opening bell. AMTD filled my order
at opening price of 13.125 I thought that was great. I am
having no problem with delayed confirms now. The only remaining
problem doesnt affect trading. They still have to remove group
quote lists when traffic flow is heavy. They assure me that will
be cured by July....I really find their new format to be very
convenient and I love to be able to pull up both stock and option
quotes on extended basis from my quote list. Gil
