Nigel,
Thanks for the post. Hopefully, Mr. Goldberg is correct. If his historical track record for MTV's partnering is correct, the CDnow people have made a bad deal. At first glance, the MTV/CDnow partnership sounded big. Now it appears as cash burner with a poor return on investment. It will be interesting to see who Gordon, our deal-maker, comes up with for a "partnership" and links for the forthcoming website. Seeing the way he operates so far we may all be in for a pleasant surprise. With the buyers coming in near the close on Friday it seems something is up.
Just remember our original concept. TSIG is a long-term investment and that means years... not weeks or days. This is essentially a new company now and, IMHO, if Gordon keeps following through, it may be one of the biggest winners you've ever carried in your portfolio. It's hard to ride the waves (ie: MM's games, traders, etc.) and easy to become impatient, but please remember that the more of the float that we lock away, the less the MMs can do. Besides, as I said in an earlier post, this is a tough stock to trade. How many times have you been unable to get fills even when you were bidding at the ask? Remember BB MMs can bypass you. They have no obligation to fill your order regardless of their posted bid/ask. Hang in there... this is just the beginning. The website for CC hasn't even gone online yet, the telemarketing is truly just starting, etc., etc.! Once the cashflow starts, the debt will disappear.
