You hit the nail on the head so to speak with the above. <grin>

"Freeing up development and research dollars" is the big selling point.
As PTEC currently has 70% of the laptop market* already, the INTC move into laptop Motherboards will increase Phoenix's share. This way Intel gets their technology into the hands of OEM's faster and cheaper.

Phoenix continues to grow and remains the cutting edge BIOS company.
