OT is designed for position trading

Yes, it has improved my results but in what were for me unsuspected ways. The major benefit I found from using OT was that it helped me become more objective about my trading. There's no need to fret over a trade that isn't working because fresh prospects arrive daily.

I haven't used WOW. I have both SuperCharts 4.0 and MetaStock 6.5. I use SuperCharts.

As far as system testing goes, for stocks OT is tops if you are simply looking for opportunities and want a painless method to perform systematic screening (I don't trade Futures, so can't comment on the OT Futures edition). If you have your own theories about the S&P 500 index or some other particular trading vehicle, than TradeStation is the industry standard for do-it-yourself system development and testing. TS also has the largest aftermarket if you want to buy someone else's system rather than developing your own.
