IMHO, Ciena's DWDM is not in the program. Mory says he wants to work with all of the DWDM vendors. Kind of like their xDSL strategy. Make it work with all of the versions of DSL and then you can be the product of choice. Michael confirmed this strategy in a side bar conversation at the shareholders' meeting. It appears from the articles here that ALA is the DWDM of choice in China. Ciena maybe here in the U.S. So ASND buying Ciena does not make sense to me. Based on what I think I heard. Now are there technologies missing from ASND that would allow this open approach to DWDM that I am missing? I am not a tech, so I don't have a clue here. What security companies do you see as having technology that ASND wants? Thank you for your input, Dennis
