Dear Earlie,

I enjoy and agree with your posts, however, I believe you could improve your delivery by weaving in some additional powerful themes such as fire and brimstone to emphasize the total devastation we are about to face. Or, if you prefer a modern image, perhaps Godzilla, comets crashing to earth, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc. would work. Since Silicon Valley is to be especially hard hit, I think an earthquake metaphor would be apt.

Reading your post, I was reminded of my days at Berkeley where a man dubbed "Holy Hubert" would stand in the plaza and tell us students that we were going to go to hell. Many of us decided to take our chances anyway and did not change our behavior. BTW, "Holy Hubert" had red hair like Michael Burke and few teeth because his views were unpopular.

Now I must tell my wife that we need to sell our home and move to one of those survivalist communities. I hope she likes guns.

Best regards, John.
