This is interesting news to me. All that time they have spent in a very challenging and rigorous pursuit just to be relegated to "part time" status making giving up their career more practical does come as a surprise to me. When do you think this started to happen? I wonder if HMOs have a part (direct or indirect) in this in their pursuit of cutting costs? I find an unusual number of women here in Tucson that want to pursue their medical degree and become a practicing physician or surgeon. It looks like there may be some disappointments in store for them. Bob Graham
