hehe Mr. Metals: was it MINE already or will it be MINE
on Tuesday?

Thread:
About ten posts earlier on the thread there was a brief
discussion about percentage gainers, instead of just
the raw amount. Okay, since I have not got the bragging
out of my system, my account was at 15k last December,
now it is now at 70k. Winners from greatest to smaller
were GMGC, NEOTW, MINE, VRGN, TGEN, RGEN, OREM, EWM, CNSI
--and most of the trades were on quick large percentage
run ups on news, or by riding the coattails of other's
news (rgen ran up briefly just after Entremed ran up).

What is interesting to me, is that sometimes things run
up a couple days in a row, and others just crap out.
This was the case with NEOTW--you had to daytrade it,
fortunately I sold 2/3rds of my position before the
close on the big day. Now maybe it will run again, but
the lack of any follow through the second day suggests
that you really have to watch out--only go for the
second day of run up when you really like the story.

Anyway, now that I've hooked back to the topic I most
wanted to address, MINE, will this be a two day runner?
I think the really smart traders KNOW when a stock will
run two days in a row, I do not pretend to be one of
those types of traders yet, but I am trying. I believe
once you have figured that out, you are on your way...
any thoughts?

Does anybody on the thread think that two day story stocks
will bring you the MOST MONEY MADE? We all have some nice
big gainers, and truthfully, I'll bet most of us will admit
that they were only luck. The speculative frenzy toward the
end of this bull market seems to make these quick trades
a lot easier. After all, if I can get the sort of percentage
gainers that I have, with 20 minute delayed quotes, and only
an average amount of experience with trading, then this is
an easy market!

How can we decide if we have skill? After all, when the
market finally turns south the lucky traders will lose
all their gains just as fast as we made them. Something to
think about!

Sorry for so many questions, maybe this is not the right
thread, but I am always suspicious of what have seemingly
been easy gains.

Finally, somebody claimed to have made a million in a day--
why the hell are they hanging out here on SI?--buy a boat.
