One issue that i have yet seen addressed by the Divx advocates is
the extra cost of wiring a telephone line over the the player. My
living room, as most i assume, does not have a telephone jack. This
would cost at least $50 to $100 just so that some company can
monitor my movie watching habits and charge me for movies watched.
Great deal! I do not give Divx much of chance in the market place.

I guess NMBS benifits either way, although Dvix has been a factor in slowing the acceptance of DVD due to the uncertainty it represents.
