Here are the facts which I believe you overlook or misapprehend. (intentionally). I think everyone would agree that it is too early to tell if Loral or anyone at Loral did anything wrong. If the WH and Dems in Congress don't use the old stonewall routine again, we may find out. So far her Renoship has refused to appoint an independent counsel to investigate either campaign finance irregularities or the breaking "Chinagate" allegations. On Chinagate, I would expect a counsel will eventually be appointed because even Dems are questioning the waiver at issue. And there is a difference since neither Bush nor Reagan granted a waiver over the express objection of DOJ and State as in this case. Too early to tell yet, but there could be something there. As the issue may concern national security, it ought to be looked into and an independent counsel is tailor made for this type of investigation. I would think even Bubba would want an IC since DOJ was opposed to the waiver in the first place. Your statements on Clinton garnering more votes than Reagan also piqued my interest. I knew you were incorrect but I did not know the exact figures. I looked into it and found that Reagan captured 51% of the popular vote in his first term against Carter and 59% in his second term. Bubba on the other hand only got 43% of the popular vote in his first term and 49 in his second. Obviously in neither case did he get a majority although he did gain a plurality. Zoltan! was correct in that the majority vote against Bubba in both elections. Check the dictionary if you are still having trouble distinguishing between majority and plurality. Interestingly enough, Reagan's electoral college margins were also much greater than Bubba's but electoral margins don't mean bupkus to you (guess you haven't ever had an elementary governement course). You ought to read your text books more carefully. There is more than enough evidence for a reasonable person to conclude that Clinton accepted sexual favors from Lewinski, lied about it and then directed a campaign to conceal the whole mess from the public. TheTripp tapes are plenty of proof as is Monica's own proffer to the IC wherein she admitted to the sexual relationship that Bubba has categorically denied. Interestingly, Gennifer Flowers captured Bubba on tape directing her to lie about their relationship which is not relevant to this situation except to show he's done it before. I suspect that very shortly, we'll all be reading about indictments in this matter including Monica and maybe Bruce Lindsay and others involved. The truth will come out eventually. Bubba is doomed. Most of this evidence has already been posted or printed. You may choose to ignore it. Reasonable people won't be able to much longer. JLA
