Terrence - Point Three of my post was directed to the entire thread, not to you individually. That's why I was prepared to dodge some stones!

And the real reason I lobbed my own stone into your (collective) garden was that I was trying to avoid facing a very disagreeable task that must be done today. (My feeling about that task is - ugh!)

It can be postponed no longer, so I cannot debate you, as I would like, about some of the points you brought up in your response.

Oh, well, just for starters:

Feelings emerge from the conscious and unconscious values one accepts or rejects during their life.

Sometimes. And sometimes the reverse is true -- values emerge from feelings. Infants, for example, have feelings. Do they have values?

Now, back to work!
