FINANCING / Big Valley Resources Private Placement Filled

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Subject to Alberta Stock Exchange
acceptance and as a matter of record, the Company announces that
it will carry out a 1,300,000 unit non-brokered private placement.
The Company's May 7, 1998 news release incorrectly disclosed the
number of units as 1,200,000. All other information related to
the private placement as originally disclosed remains unchanged.

All 1,300,000 units have been placed and closing will proceed in
due course.
