This may seem absurd, but I wonder if the shorts understand the difficulty they may encounter when regulations require them to have the borrowed certificates in house? As you say, some shorts may violate these regulations. If this is the case with AENG, I believe others in the industry will police them, making violation very difficult. As you say, the industry generally polices itself. There will come a time, in the near future, when the short must have borrowed the certificates or covered. In my opinion, the shorts jumped into AENG without performing proper due diligence.
I've talked to may investors during this long weekend and there appears to be major support brewing for this stock. The rumors involve large firms and major individuals wanting to take an interest in AENG. This interest is expected to be felt in the very near future. Also, it's rumored that some very heavy hitters from the corporate world will soon be joining the company.
IMO, being concerned about this University of Wisconsin thing, is like being concerned about changing your car's oil, so you drive around to different garages for opinions. Let's weigh this out.........On one hand, we have Dr. Foster from the U of W. Certainly a knowledgeable and well respected guy from the world of academia. On the other hand, we have Carroll Shelby (as well as many other highly recognized and respected names from the engine industry). If I had them both standing side by side and was allowed to pick only one to test my engine, I'd pick Shelby. Why? This guy has seen it all and done it all. He's lived engines for at least 50 years. He knows engines and the industry, like we know our homes. With all due respect, Dr. Foster would certainly be a close second.
A few months ago, Shelby had never heard of AENG. He was simply asked if he wanted to see a demo of the engine. He did and he asked many questions and thoroughly inspected the engine. Shortly thereafter, his life changed.
Things look very, very good for AENG!
