Saw recent news release by Reuters (5/19) "Dell says purchased 180 million shares of 250 million". I would assume that this is in dollars, not number of shares. This seems a lot. Can anyone explain to me why the buy-back? Is it to cancel shares issued to executives under their stock option plan so that the EPS continue to show growth? I am bearish on Dell and am currently short. Thanks.
