What I was considering was

1. Buy MIDLP @ $30 (or whatever)

2. Hold as of dividend date

3. Price of MIDLP drops when dividend is no longer attached

4. I anticipate MIDLP will regain its pre-dividend price sometime this tax year as interest and awareness grows. At the time I can sell for my buy price, I would sell.

5. My net cost for the dividend is $0. My taxable gain is $0.

6. I sell these free shares sometime next century, hopefully incurring massive capital gains taxes at that time.
