Threadneedler - Tava IR: I talk to quite a few small cap CEOs in diverse sectors. A common problem many face is getting the backing of the upper tiers of Wall St. Often, the way in is to enter into an investment banking relationship. The company decides it wants to make acquisitions, issue bonds, secondaries, etc. - in general, do the things that generate fees for investment bankers. The lead banker may bring in a couple other bankers to handle part of the deal. Suddenly, the bankers' analysts are covering the stock, and the retail brokers are selling it. TAVA management has to make the strategy decisions that will interest the upper tiers. Then, they can go to Scott and ask if he can make the introductions. Meanwhile, PR Newswire gets rich charging fees to post stories few editors read.
