Hi Anna,

I guess I've been a little busy lately...I don't know that much about USSB, except that it's related to DirectTV. Some people also said it's too expensive, but who knows?

Some comments from the March 96 Red Herring:
(p. 113)
"Another unusual deal is US Satellite Broadcasting, which raised $220 million. David Spitz, who represents lead manager CS First Boston, calls it a 'landmark deal' because USSB is the first direct satellite TV company to go public. USSB is also unique for being sold on cash flow, rather than earnings."

General Motors Hughes (GMH) also plans to make a lot money off DirectTV. GMH has been up quite a bit lately, too.
