If DELL is such a good buy at 85 one has to ask thmselves why the insiders were unloading it at 50-60 in January and February.

And on the lighter side, I was reading an article on Beanie Babies and a person asked the author if they were a fad, her answer was: " I don't believe that collectng beanie babies are a fad. Here's why: Beanie babies have demonstrated strength for an extended period of time in the market, on both the retail an secondary market levels; that's one clue they aren't a fad. Beanie babies have a sales history of more than four years; in addition, secondary markets have remained strong. The gains in 1997 haven't been lost. In a fad-type enviornment, prices rise and fall very quickly. Values for the most desirable styles did rise quickly in 1997, but there have been no noteworthy declines to date.

I am coining the phrase "This is a Beanie Babie Market" for the current stock market mania. I think tulipmania or South Sea bubble has just become to dated to appreciate. The fine citizens of this country understand Beanie Babies, then again they understand tulips as long as you mention Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in the same breath with tulips (two lips) that perks their interest.

Well whenever this "Beanie Babie Market" crashes, I'll be sitting in my Bear shelter waiting to barter "Peanut the Dark Blue Elephant" for some food and ammo.
