I think you are letting a few dollar increase in the price of PCs cloud your thought. It's always calm before the storm and the next storm could be a barrage of Sub-$800 computers.
Of course Intel will deny the existence of such a market just like they denied the sub $1000 market. Now, tell me how Intel can compete in that arena with a chip with nearly twice the die size?
