Sid, the following quote taken from a microsoft site:
microsoft.com
Revolutionary ActiveSyncT data replication technology, included in Windows CE
"version 2.0 on your Palm-size PC, provides effortless synchronization. Just connect your Palm-size PC to your computer at home or in the office, your laptop on the road, or even via a modem or your network, and ActiveSync continuously and automatically updates your contacts, calendar, tasks, electronic mail (including attachments), and notes. You don't push any buttons or activate any software to make it happen. You always have the most current information at your fingertips and at your desk-automatically!"
It would appear from this blurb that ActiveSync supports all categories of apps that one would most likely use on a palm-top, but does so only via a DIRECT CONNECT between devices (or via a modem). P.S. I did not know this last night when I posted that ActiveSync would be a possible direct competitor to PUMA. After considering the fact that a direct connect is necessary, I'm not really sure that MSoft is a PRESENT competitor to PUMA's wireless synchronization methodology. Bill.
