A couple of corrections. Intel did not invent the CPU - They pretty much DID invent the microprocessor, and the key design team at Intel also were responsible for the fairchild planar process which makes all of these complex ICs possible. I am no fan of Intel but you can't take that away from them.
GE did not invent the light bulb Actually they did, Edison founded what later became GE specifically to market the light bulb, which was Edison's invention.
