(Nasdaq: PTEK) (www.premtek.com) today announced the appointment of William Porter "Billy" Payne, most recently Vice Chairman of NationsBank, as Chairman of its newly formed, wholly owned subsidiary, Orchestrate.com, effective July 6. Orchestrate.com will pioneer the application of Internet-based enhanced communications services, developed by Premiere Technologies, for use in various business-to-business market segments. Orchestrate.com's first planned target market will be the trillion dollar U.S. medical industry through a recently established partnership with Endeavor Technologies, an Atlanta-based provider of information and communications services to the healthcare industry.
Premiere also announced today that Mr. Payne and Jeffrey A. Allred, currently Premiere's Executive Vice President of Strategic Development, have joined the Board of Premiere Technologies, effective immediately.
