U.S. Electronics Sales Up 10.6 Percent (05/26/98; 10:04 a.m. ET) By Staff, Semiconductor Business News In the first quarter, U.S. factory sales of electronics equipment, semiconductors, components, and other related products increased 10.6 percent to $118.7 billion compared with $107.3 billion in the same period last year, according to new data released Friday by the Electronic Industries Alliance. "These first quarter results are higher than our original forecasts, indicating a continuation of the double-digit growth we have been experiencing over the past few years," said Peter F.
