Here's a post on the semi equip thread that mentions the dropping prices for corporate PCs; Message 4596748 As we've been saying on this thread for several months, corporate buyers are finding that low cost PCs meet the needs for the majority of corporate desktops and new software is not requiring greater and greater (fatter) performance PCs. In fact, my experience and early reviews of WIN 98 indicate that it runs faster and more reliably than WIN 95 on the same hardware configuration, thus fulfilling the promise originally made for WIN 95. IDT has designs that are properly targeted at the "sweet spot" of market demand - now only if they can get off their hands and produce them! ------------- More serious contemplation: Is the "Viagra Factor" menacing IDT's FAB operations? Are the technicians too busy chasing their female workers around the clean-rooms to get production ramped? Are they now addicted to the drug? IDT may deny this, but the logic fits perfectly; a rise from the techs resulting in lowered production.
