Microsoft Settles With European Union, Are US Anti-trust Concessions to Follow?

RE:"The world's biggest maker of personal-computer software
in March changed its contracts with European Internet access
providers, letting them offer browsers other than Internet
Explorer, to quell EU antitrust concerns." Van Miert, Bloomberg

If Microsoft did this in Europe because of Anti-trust concerns, might they be expected to do the same in USA for same reasons?

I understand the issues and law in the EU and in the US are virtually the same, so the expectation of parallel results sounds reasonable.

HR

PS: The other Anti-trust issues were not pressed by the EU apparently in deference to giving the US first crack or even a final say. Interesting.
