IMP, Inc. Expands Sales Coverage Nationwide
IMP Opens Central Area Sales Operation
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 26, 1998--IMP Inc. (NASDAQ:IMPX - news) today announced the opening of its third U.S. area sales office, located in the Dallas metropolitan area.
''We are pleased to open this new office to support the increasing interest in IMP products from customers across the Central United States,'' said Barry Wiley, IMP vice president of marketing, sales and applications. ''IMP now has field sales management coverage of all major North American markets for our growing portfolio of Electroluminescent Lamp Driver and Microprocessor Supervisor Power Management Integrated Circuit (IC) products.''
John Watson has joined IMP as Central Area sales manager, stationed in the Dallas metropolitan area. Watson has over ten years of field sales management experience. He joins IMP from TriQuint Semiconductor where he was Southwest Area sales manager. Watson's previous industry experience includes Cypress Semiconductor and Semtech Corp [Nasdaq:SMTC - news]. Watson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico.
Watson reports to Barry Wiley, vice-president of marketing, sales and applications, and is responsible for all sales activity in the Central United States, including account management and sales channel selection.
