Not a bad idea if you can point to something illegal. I suspect there would be bipartisan support to stymie such efforts since both parties feed at that trough. However, last time I looked tobacco was a legal product and there certainly is a difference between allegations of selling waivers and/or compromising national security (yet unproven) and taking special interest money. I'm not sure how to govern the special interest money except maybe to try to find the types of individuals who would be principled enough to refuse it in the first place. JLA
