I have a friend that works for AT@T and he sent
me the following on the battery that you mentioned.

IN REGARDS TO AT&T, THAT IS A NICKEL METAL HYDRID BATT.
IT'S NOT THE BATTERY THAT GIVES IT SUCH A LONG STAND BY TIME. THE PHONE IS A
LOW VOLTAGE PHONE THAT USES LESS POWER TO OPERATE THAN THE AVERAGE PHONE.
