Actually I am getting quite worried myself over both DELL's ability to remain immune to the PC price cuts as well as the overall attitude on this thread. (Note that I am a DELL bull in general, but I think that we ought to at least pay attention to what you and other bears have to say instead of dismissing it without a second glance).

So what are your prognostications for DELL over the short-term? Long-term? Do you think CPQ, HWP, etc can maintain the lower prices once the inventory problems get cleared and yet make profits? My line of thinking is that once the excess supply is depleted, CPQ et al will have to raise their ASPs again (if they are to make any profits), and DELL will regain its price advantage due to its direct model.
