Alladin V chipset (Super-7) finally working well - This little note at Anand's hardware site, May 26, 1988 - 4:54 PM:
I just received my first Aladdin V motherboard so I'm working on a head to head comparison of Acer Lab's Aladdin V Chipset and VIA's MVP3 Chipset...so far things seem quite close, I'm still waiting to find a weakness in either chipset, they seem like great competitors. I'll keep you posted, expect more tonight.

Until now, no Alladin V chipset (made by Acer) motherboard has worked at 100 MHz bus speed, only VIA MVP3 boards worked. The existence of two working competing chipsets is a necessary condition for some of the Tier I manufacturers to use the K6-2.
