Hang on Frank, I wasn't bailing out. I made some joking posts, which panicked Ramsey's wife, but Ramsey could see the funny side and assured her I was joking. Sorry you were misled.

As far as room for both GSM and CDMA, I say no. Superior technology always takes over totally from less effective gadgets when the benefits are substantial. Pulse dialling is pretty much gone. So are horseshoe shops. People need a REASON to buy GSM, not that there is room for it. What reason is there to choose GSM when CDMA is in full swing?

The time it takes to finish off GSM sales will be the time it takes to get CDMA production capacity up to sufficient to supply the world. When you look at how many licensees there are, [48!!] it won't be many years. They will all be making CDMA gear as fast as they can go.
