<<Heard a reprise broadcast of Jerry Klein (in Southern CA) yesterday. He made comments about NXTL behaving as though there was going to be another stock issue. He said he didn't know anything, but was basing his statement on the chart behavior. I don't recall that question being specifically asked at the annual meeting--other than reference to having all the capital required through the end of next year.>>
Kevin, Akerson, responding to a question on interest rates, stated, as you say, that we don't need to be in the capital market until 1999 or 2000. He continued by saying "UNLESS WE BUY A STRATEGIC ACQUISITION...WOULD THEN CONSIDER TO ISSUE STOCK.
Jerry Klein's speculation now becomes interesting! Any ideas of who, if anyone, would be a "strategic acquisition"? Hmmm. Na! It can't be T or Sprint (at least not this year). Any wild ideas out there in cyberspace...
Bernie, hoping to liven up discussion on this thread. |
