I know that most internet brokerage firms require cash in your account before a pennystock can be purchased with your cash account. Also, most brokerages do not allow you to purchase pennystocks in margin accts, at least that has been my experience. They are just trying to cover their asses and don't want to have to chase you down to get their money if you loose your entire investment in a matter of 1 hour. I could be very wrong though...
