San Jose, California, May 26 (Bloomberg) -- A federal judge hearing Cadence Design Systems Inc.'s copyright lawsuit against Avant! Corp. kept in force a stay in the proceedings pending the outcome of a criminal case against Avant! executives... San Jose U.S. District Court Judge Ronald Whyte had said previously that since the criminal case against Avnt!'s [sic] chief executive and others was taking so long, he would let Cadence's civil case move ahead. * * * Why did he change his mind? Did he find a sack full of AVNT stock in his inbox?
