I Just have to Laugh! Netscape Communications (NSCP) reports a BREAK EVEN QUARTER! See: dailynews.yahoo.com
Now, Netscape trades in the mid-twenties a share right now. Here is little TSIS, very likely to come forth soon with the first positive quarter ever, and they are trading at 54 cents. Netscape has been losing market share and laying off people. TSIS has been adding new big clients and projects a 50% revenue growth.
This just goes to show you the power of being a "glamor" stock. True, TSIS is no Netscape-- yet. But, if the economy does tighten a bit, WHO will save companies money over the way they communicate to shareholders? And of course, there are hundreds of other stocks out there who are just like Netscape, and are much higher priced than TSIS is just because they are "glamor" stocks even though they are not making a dime. TSIS is in a new niche service business. One of just two players. TSIS is growing fast but is largely undiscovered outside of this thread. But that will change...as glamor wears off, investors everywhere will look for value, and they will see...
Netscape at $24 versus TSIS at 54 cents...
But of course, by the time the "herd" discovers TSIS, IMHO it will be Netscape at $24 versus TSIS at 75 cents or 80 cents or maybe even a whopping $1, and TSIS will still be a much better value.
Just something to think about...
