The question of why didn't SUF respond to the heirs is very simple:

SUF followed the policies and procedures as set out by the DME. After expending time and resources (something NO SOUTH AFRICAN COMPANY did, including De Beers), they found what looks to be a valuable asset. Hours before a mining permit was to be issued, the "heirs" put forth an injunction (how did this happen--old boys network?), and the rest is well known. If SUF had not been advised by the DME on how to proceed, yeah, you're right, they should've settled ages ago. What everyone is losing sight of is the fact that the company that found the deposit is quite simply the best situated to bring it into production quickly, providing jobs and much more importantly to all long term shareholders -- the likelihood of finding more anomalies, defining drill targets and finding pipes and fissures to mine.
(And without thier interests and our money, none of this crap would have ever been an issue)

You short sighted, selfish, woe-begotten alleged "heirs" have absolutely nothing positive to add to any situation, except that which benefits you. Even in such a poor disposition, the best thing your "lottery winners" can think of is to take the money and run.

Thats lovely, but some of us feel that other things are important: You've not heard one shareholder of SUF bemoan a declining price. We'll take our lumps, knowing that in the end a sense of justice will prevail.

Prattle on you alleged "heirs"; sometime please do/say/initiate something that is positive for someone other than yourselves --- this will lead you to understand the position of most others on this thread.

Mr. Gull, Mr. Infoman, why not cease attacking those whose positions you see as weak? This is not honourable. Answer a few of the direct questions about your interests and motivations --- lose the grandiose talk --- if you're so right why are you still here jostling with those whom you despise and whom equally disdain you?

I can't believe that even in a changing nation like RSA (we're proud o f your gains so far), the simple finders, keepers rationale doesn't prevail.

Well, perhaps its time to let the politicians have their say.

Question is: Is anyone going to take responsibility?
