Would not surprise me to see some words from Mr. INTC (but see below - I'm just guessing because of lot of stuff appears to be unravelling). You're right if so then the real fireworks begin. Actually what is happening to the semis and the semi-equips have parallels in terms of stock prices. AMAT for instance is on its way down now but until a few weeks ago it was the beacon (never ever fully understood why it went up day after earnings release - one for the ages...) while everyone else was getting crushed. Those others are still falling and AMAT is now joining them. Will we see the same with INTC and the semis? Somehow in spite of the doom and gloom (now people are saying reduced PC demand - that'll hurt) INTC might hold support. Then again if INTC goes the bloodbath will be here and it will be safe to buy... The thing that somewhat tickles me is just how much more some of the semi-stocks will fall in the event of any such announcement from INTC or others. They are really haemmorhaging now. I guess I'm more concerned about overall market valuation and the effect it will have. The DOW should go much lower. The Nasdaq the same. Now how could the semis go up in this kind of environment. I'm rooting for the non-tech small caps. Kurlak was right and then some. Shane (caveat this by saying I'm just guessing on INTC - don't follow them that closely plus they give good guidance and the March thing may have still been an inventory blip correction...)
